Love Fang is a thoroughly amusing tale. First of all, the premise of a vampire with dental pain is definitely interesting. The interaction between John and Lauren is fantastic. I love the light, easy-going feeling of this story as well as the intense emotions between the characters. John’s assistant, Doreen, and Lauren’s assistant, Rosetta, are fantastic as they try to play matchmakers. After this delightful novel, I am looking forward to reading more from Ms. Blexrud in the future.

Lauren has a very big decision to make. She becomes a vampire and spends eternity with John--which doesn’t sound so bad--or she chooses to find a human to love, which is more difficult but she stays human. I felt for Lauren and the big decision she had to make. It was very hard on her and I liked the fact that the novella dealt with her decision making more in depth than some I’ve read. I also enjoyed the humor that Lauren added to the story. Her chihuahua had me cracking up just about every time he appeared in the story. Bravo Ms. Blexrud!

Vampire John Wright has a slight problem - he has an infected fang and he must see the dentist. He is less than enthusiastic to make an appointment, but his assistant, Doreen, insists that he go.
Dr. Lauren Marsh is instantly taken with John, and can easily overlook the fangs in his mouth, though her dental assistant, Rosetta, sees him for what he is - a vampire. Lauren takes care of the abscessed tooth and says yes to John’s invitation to go out for dinner.
When Lauren learns the truth about John’s true nature she must make a decision; stick with her safe, predictable life, or take a chance on true love, and the one man that makes her knees go weak with desire.
Who can resist this first line? “John Wright’s infected left fang put a real damper on his puncturing prowess.” I gave Love Fang 4 1/2 tombstones because of the humor that was effortlessly mixed in with intense drama. The secondary characters are hilarious, and the sexual tension between John and Lauren is intoxicating. I’m already salivating for the sequel, Fang Shui.

For Fang Shui
Susan Blexrud has done it again. In Fang Shui, the sequel to Love Fang, we get right back to the hilarious couple, John and Lauren. Right after their nuptials, they head off on their honeymoon. Unfortunately, nothing seems to go right for them, and the sexual frustration runs high. Instead of enjoying their deserved vacation, they find they must annihilate Amy, a determined vampire who feels she must avenge her creator – who was killed by John – by killing his new bride, Lauren. John asks Lucianno, a playboy vampire who once ran with Casanova, to help him take out Amy and her vampires. Meredith, one of Lauren’s friends, falls hard and fast for the smooth-talking vamp. Lucianno loves the women, but can he settle on one for all eternity? Great premise for the next book, I say. I’m giving Fang Shui 4 tombstones. Blexrud writes a fun, light read that never fails to make me laugh. Her motto is: “Alpha males should have a sense of humor”. Amen, Blexrud. Amen!

For Real Men Have Fangs
Vampire John and his pregnant vampire bride, Lauren, are back – and more FANGtastic than ever. John takes on the mob, even though his wife protests. She argues that they are finally beginning to settle down and have a baby on the way, so she doesn’t think he should take on this dangerous job.
Luc and Meredith make a return in Real Men Have Fangs as well. Meredith is now dating a human male who just might pop the question soon. When he does, will that be the catalyst that sends Luc into Meredith’s arms, or will sexy Luc step aside to allow her a normal life?
A wedding, a death, some appendages cut off, a proposal…this little novella packs a big punch. Hopefully Lauren and John survive the mob to enjoy the rest of their crazy existence.
Here’s the thing. Susan Blexrud writes humorous, witty vampire romance stories. They are always laugh-out-loud funny. Silly. Hilarious. And this one made me cry. Tears of joy or sorrow? You’ll have to read the book and find out. I was quite unprepared for the tears but a few emotional scenes caught me off-guard and had me dabbing the moisture from my eyes. Susan Blexrud has written a paranormal series that keeps you turning the digital pages.
There’s something simplistically pleasing about this series. There are clichéd characters (the mob) and not that much internal dialogue (which I normally don’t care for) and tons of one-liners (that should have me rolling my eyes). But you know what? It works. I would highly recommend this novella.

Ms. Blexrud’s spectacular new novel, REAL MEN HAVE FANGS is a frightening addition to her FANG series and is full of snap, sex and sizzle. It is brimming with all the main heroes and more! Lauren and John Wright, married vampires, with vast amounts of passion and energy, are dealing with evil enemies again. The Mafia is involved this time and danger lurks everywhere. Hold onto your seats because this story is one of the scariest in the FANG series. In addition, Lucianno pledges his love to Meredith, again! Does Meredith forgive the hot, Italian lover or does she give him the boot?
I love how Ms. Blexrud intertwines humor and romance with horror, suspense and danger. Her characters have incredible depth, which makes you feel like you know them on a personal level. If you like a sharp, sassy, suspenseful read, then place REAL MEN HAVE FANGS at the top of your ‘to buy’ list! Blexrud’s stories never disappoint!

For Delora’s Necklace
With the help of a magical necklace and compelled by a desire she can’t explain, Delora is whisked back in time to Chichen Itza - a Mayan city filled with blood sacrifice, unfamiliar ways, and a world of unfamiliar passion. However, Delora is no stranger to the frightening realm; she finds friends, family, and a husband, all who knew her in this strange world. Delora misses her modern life, but is faced with the choice of giving up love in the past for a more familiar future. I enjoyed this book more and more as I got into the story. The author did her homework on the Mayan civilization, but I felt as if in explaining it to the audience through her characters, she took a lot away from the story early on. I did like the chemistry between the characters and especially liked how it extended past the romantic leads to their companions and families. This one is a bit of a cliffhanger, so I hope that the author gives us a sequel sometime soon!

Delora Melendez makes an impromptu decision to take a trip to Mexico. She has an inexplicable urge to visit the home of her ancestors, the Mayans.
Ashwan is a Mayan prince who lost his one true love five years ago. He is being pressured to marry and produce heirs, but refuses. He is awaiting the return of the only woman he will ever love.
After Delora makes the treacherous trip to the top of the Great Pyramid at Chichen Itza, she encounters a very handsome man dressed as an ancient Mayan warrior. He escorts a very confused Delora through a restored Chichen Itza to a cave where she will be safe. Delora is told of her life as a Mayan woman and how much she and Ashwan meant to each other. But will their love withstand time and keep them together forever?
Ms. Blexrud has produced yet another fun novel. She successfully places a modern day woman right in the middle of the advanced, yet volatile center of Mayan civilization. The communication between the two main characters is fantastic, as well as Delora’s self-discovery of who she once was. This story will leave the reader hanging, so I am very hopeful that a sequel is in the works.
